Vinci, found in the heart of Tuscany between Florence and Pisa, is a geographical area which is not just constrained by political borders, but it also represents an agricultural culture which has evolved through the centuries, between the Montalbano hills and the Arno river.
The morphologic conformation of the territory is made up of mountainous, hilly and plain areas.
Among the gentle slopes of the hills you can find different conformations of the land, from short plains to rocky and steep areas, or areas where sediments have been deposited over the centuries and which give shape to a characteristic landscape; Leonardo Da Vinci was fascinated by it and painted it in the Mona Lisa’s background.
These geological characteristics made us choose this land to cultivate and produce a wine with unique and specific characteristics.
The agricultural company “I Mattoni” uses a portion of this land, where the grapes produced are treated with strong passion and rigour, to produce a fine wine.
